I really want them to save Danny Pink!
Clara had exactly the right clever plan to force the Doctor to comply...... too bad it failed but at least he listened to her. I was not expecting him to.
The afterlife is a huge deal, for me I anticipate lots of flowers in meadows with angels and departed loved ones. I never expected skeletons in dark water. That was grim. Why does the Doctor never notice dead skeletons watching him? Clara ignored them moving too, so shame on you both!
Ok, Clara was grieving, so I removed her shame.
Danny is less than clever in trying to convince Clara it is really him. Culture shock can be his only excuse. It isn't every day one goes to the afterlife.
"Missy", now there's a fun discovery......... but excactly HOW did the Master survive???? Tell me, somebody, really, how did the Master get from the final episode with David Tennant to this episode? Did anyone have a clue? I usually have at least one clue.
Gotta say, the Doctor must have been unhappy to find he was kissing the Master! What a hoot!
I can't wait to see the second half of this episode, and am so unhappy that the BBC doesn't make longer seasons. Can we make them make more???? Don't they have enough money????? REALLY!
I think Danny said "I love you" the last time to convince Clara not to try to come there, since he thinks she means she plans to kill herself to be with him. I had wanted him to say something about the toy soldier and that he knew it was her. Anyways, we know they have a grandchild together, so I assume they'll find a way to get him back to life. Just don't cremate him ;P
ReplyDeleteI was kind of amazed at the slowness of the doctor in not realizing the bodies were in cybersuits when they showed the watch go invisible. Admittedly, he was distracted by thinking the whole thing was hogwash. But he really should have realized that Missy had two hearts and drew the conclusion of Timelord over welcome droid. Yes, she was creepy and odd, like you might expect a welcome bot to be.
The whole Missy plot has been kind of obvious that she was the Master, many people speculated Mistress/Master connection. And we await this explanation.
I didn't understand Clara's disconnect in calling Danny Pink boring and not worth crying. And why she went to such measures instead of being honest with The Doctor. She should have told him right off that Danny was dead and she didn't feel it and needed proof to get him back. The TARDIS believes he's alive, why didn't The Doctor?
Clara does lie a lot. To The Doctor, Danny, herself, anyone in earshot... In her previous life she lied, living dual lives. And the previews say she herself is the lie. That she doesn't exist.
